1 Doctoral student position (65%, TVL13) position in Spatial immunology of the Epididymis
Activities and responsibilities
The Schlitzer Lab is looking for a highly motivated doctoral student investigating mononuclear phagocytes' development and functional specialization during acute and chronic inflammation in the murine epididymis using state-of-the-art single-cell technologies. Starting at the earliest date possible for 3 years initially, this position will be integrated into the newly established DFG-funded research Unit INFINITE on epididymal Immunology, the Cluster of Excellence Immunosensation2, and the PRECISE platform of the University of Bonn, and the German Center for Neurodegenerative, diseases.
Qualification profile
- Master degree in biomedical sciences, biology, bioinformatics, or a similar subject
- Background in Immunology
- Background in Imaging or Spatial transcriptomics technologies
- Willingness to work with animals
- Knowledge of flow cytometry
- Knowledge of the programming language R or Phyton
- excellent command of the English language
