DKMS Life Science Lab gGmbH

As an international non-profit organization, our goal is to give as many blood cancer patients worldwide as possible a second chance at life and access to stem cell transplants. To help even more patients, we regularly need dedicated and highly qualified employees with strong personalities. In a global network of around 1,500 DKMS colleagues, we want to continue working towards this goal together with you and over 13 million registered donors.

The DKMS Life Science Lab gGmbH in Dresden performs the molecular typing of the HLA characteristics of all DKMS donors and is the world's largest HLA tissue typing laboratory. Our laboratory, accredited according to international guidelines, sequences more than one million samples annually, donated by DKMS donors.

The Translational Assay Development department at the Life Science Lab transfers molecular methods from research and development into finished products in the field of immunogenetics, thereby playing a key role in fulfilling DKMS’s mission.
